New Cordial Deconstruction Logo
Posted by Karl Withakay on March 29, 2011
I’ve created a new logo for my blog. The horseshoe magnet and half circle protractor represent my interest in science and mathematics.
Unfortunately the theme I am currently using does not allow me to display a graphic in the title bar. I may have to change theme or pay extra for the custom CSS upgrade.
I’m interested in what you think of it. Please feel free to offer constructive criticism in the comments section.

Better?

Thumbs Up! My only concern is the ratio of the images versus the letters. Are you married to that arrangement? Maybe you can try something vertical? In a staircase kind of way? I dunno, I’m just throwing stuff up the wall and waiting to see what sticks.

If I work it so I can use it as a banner, I will probably make the ratio close to 1:1.
I might play around with an over/ under setup for the little logo on the left with a ratio closer to 1:1.

Karl,
I like it! But I do agree with FC, in that the letters that make up the rest of the word should be larger to fit better with the “picture” letters of C and D. Or vice versa. You know what I mean.

I came here to say exactly what was said by the others: the non-picture letters have to be bigger to match the size of the C and the D. I suggest a Narrow font like Impact or a font with a specific meaning like Stencil.

I take it this is the result of a protracted period of gestation…
